The garden is in full swing now. The tobacco has finally seemed to take root and I have been able to transplant a few into the ground. Salad greens are doing well. Today we will be having a salad with fresh lettuce and spinach (our first harvest).

I made an upside down tomato planter but haven't had good luck with it. So far I have killed 3 plants in it. They were smaller seedlings only about 1-1/2" tall when I put them in it. I might try one more, but I'm not sure I want to waste another plant. If I do try again, it will be a plant that is larger than 2".
