I saw a lot of posts the other day about a live cd for Google's Android OS that runs on eee pc's/netbooks. I thought to myself "awesome! I'd love to poke around with a new OS." Unfortunately the iso everyone is posting about seems to only work on the Asus eee 701. I have the eee 1000H. When booting up from the USB drive I copied the iso to, it just sits at the LiveAndroid logo.

I decided to compile my own live cd for the 1000H. Over at Google Code there's a project to port Android to x86 computers (specifically the eee pc line). Following the directions they have worked well, but the download took about an hour and the compile took about 4 hours.
